Kids these days

While in Yellowstone in June...
Jen (far too excited, shrieking): "Nadine!!! Do you see the bison PASSING IN FRONT OF OUR CAR?!"

Nadine, barely looks up from the game she's playing on the tablet, "Oh, cool."

Seriously?

**************
Earlier that day...

"Nadine, do you want to be in a picture with us?"

Nadine pouts.

"Fine. We'll take it without you."

AND WE DID.

p.s. How quintessentially Yellowstone is it that a bison crossed in front of us?! (buffalo? whatever). It was SO cool.

When were you there? We were just there. Seems like our kids were the same way. We forced them to put away all electronics while we were in the park (even driving). Our kids acted like it was a huge tragedy. Fun times!

I've been going through the blog for pictures of Nadine, because she is the world's cutest kid, before I realized the privacy thingy y'all have!
It is I, your cousin, Madeleine. Definitively not a creepy anonymous internet person. neoninthedark@gmail.com

i just saw this post and it's hilarious! and also hilarious that i'm so over buffalo because i've lived here forever and they're so not a big deal to me (all of yellowstone isn't a big deal to me...i know, blasphemy!), but everyone else is always so excited by them (and all things yellowstone). so glad you loved it when you were here. you know, seven months ago! HA!
